luke/male model? I just noticed in my server-logs that someone came to my site after searching for "luke/male model"... I'm sure she was disappointed when she got here... It's interesting how Google shows my blog as the #1 result when searching for "luke/male model", but it's only #3 when searching for "Luke Hutteman". Granted, this is after some other references to me,... (62 words)

Changing GUIDs in RSS Is the GUID of an RSS item allowed to change? SharpReader currently assumes it does not, and (when present) uses only the GUID to check if a new item is the same as a previously read one. The verdict? Emode gives me an IQ of 138 and tells me I'm a "Visionary Philosopher" who's equally good at mathematical and verbal tasks (what??? I don't think so!). They then ask me to purchase... Blogs without RSS feeds Sam Gentile writes: I have come to the viewpoint that if you don't have an RSS feed, you shouldn't have a blog. Maybe thats harsh and there is a whole another model but I can't spend the time to surf a 150 sites a day. If its not on an RSS feed, I won't see your site or read it,... (141 words, 3 Comments)

Checked Exceptions are unavoidable Les says he completely disagrees with me, but then goes on to illustrate the poor state of exception handling in many projects today, just like I did in my last post. Really, we agree more than we disagree; we just come to a different conclusion. So what do we disagree on? Where I blame the past 7 years of exception-handling... (537 words, 6 Comments)
